This was quite a film. Its socio-political messages were pronounced, though not necessarily clear. The haunting echos of apartheid are played out with gritty realism, often absent form Science Fiction. The Day The Earth Caught Fire springs to mind…

The film often evoked an emotion response as well as the a sense of fun at times. The Alien tech was interesting, with the impact of their weaponry, brilliant, satisfying and sometimes funny.

This film was not what you would expect. The Aliens are not the aggressors and neither are the humans as such, with there being a spit of fear and greed.

The documentary style is very effective and the action and effects are first and I mean FIRST rate. This looked as real as it could have done.

Overall, the only real issues with this is that failed to grip me, but the quality kept me interested and entertained for its duration.
