Will we be adding this to our collection?  NO

A black comedy following the misfortune of a newly married couple, Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore as they think that they’ve got a bargain with their home, only to find that their upstairs tenant is murder to live with.  She drives the young couple to murder as they eventually plot to kill her to save themselves from even more torment only for their plans to at times, quite literally explode in their faces!

The humour is mildly leaning towards gross out, but it’s just not funny enough. It does resemble in tone, the 1980’s Tom Hanks classic comedy, The Money Pit (1986), in more ways than one, but in the end, the comedy is a little light and the overall tone is muddled.

Stiller is playing the same old character, that of a miserable old man twice his age and Barrymore is in usual zany form but in the end, even though this did deliver a few laughs, it was just too predictable and overblown to make it as a memorable comedy.
