Opinions…
I have little choice other than to hope that Fifty Shades Of Grey wins this award as I too, declared it the worst of the year here on nEoFILM, but for the criticism of the leads, Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan for their performances, I disagree with. Granted, they were wooden but so was the film, a film with demanded little more than soap opera performances from the duo. As for Sam Taylor-Johnson’s direction, yes this film had a lot of problems but I suspect that she helped it break away from E.L. James’ novel, which must have helped but this was a hyped-up media juggernaut, not a creative endeavour so how good or bad her work is, is unclear.
Pixels and Jupiter Ascending are both worthy of criticism too and I admit, I don not like to put down a film for the sake of it so I will leave the rest to the judges.
